Ginger Garner
Born and raised in North Carolina, Ginger’s Scottish and English family roots in North America pre-date North Carolina’s existence. Her family settled in the present-day Moore and Randolph County areas, as well as the Scotland County region in the late 1600’s. The Scottish side of the family joined the English side after Culloden, and fought in the Revolutionary War, making her a member of both the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Family of Bruce International. With both Stewart and Bruce ancestry, Ginger is proud to join FOBI as the North Carolina Commissioner.
Ginger is a doctor of physical therapy (DPT) and is raising three sons in Greensboro, NC where she owns a private practice, Garner Pelvic Health, and specializes in orthopedics and urogynecology. Ginger attended the most recent family reunion in Scotland in 2024 with her family. 2024 also marked Ginger’s third year as the convener for the Bruce family at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, where she and her team were awarded Clan Tent of the Year out of 108 clans in residence.
